These terms govern a Medceptor Lifetime purchase and the money-back guarantee that comes with it. They supplement the Medceptor Terms of Service, which continue to apply to your use of the Services; where the two conflict about a Lifetime purchase, these terms control. By buying Lifetime you accept these terms.

1. What Lifetime is

  • Lifetime is a one-time purchase of $119 (plus any applicable tax) made on our website and processed by Stripe. It is not a subscription: it never renews and there is nothing to cancel.
  • Lifetime gives you access to the Medceptor Services for one certification level (EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic), the one you chose at purchase. It does not include the other levels: moving up to a higher level later is a separate purchase.
  • Lifetime access includes everything the Pro plan includes for that certification level, for as long as Medceptor operates the Services. We may change or discontinue features over time; if we discontinue the Services entirely, we will tell you in advance.
  • Lifetime is tied to the account that bought it. It cannot be transferred, shared, or resold. Deleting your account forfeits Lifetime access with no refund.
  • Lifetime is not available inside the Medceptor iOS app or through the App Store.
  • We may revoke Lifetime access, with or without a refund at our discretion, if you breach the Terms of Service.

2. The guarantee, in plain words

If you buy Lifetime, prepare with Medceptor as described below, and then do not pass your NREMT cognitive exam, we refund the full $119.

This is a promise to refund your purchase if its conditions are met. It is not a promise that you will pass. Medceptor does not predict, guarantee, or control the outcome of any NREMT examination, and is not affiliated with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.

3. Conditions we check ourselves

We read these from Medceptor's own records; you do not need to prove them.

  • You bought Lifetime at least 30 days before the date of the exam attempt you are claiming on.
  • Before that exam date, you completed at least 10 patient simulations and answered at least 300 practice questions on Medceptor, for the certification level you bought.
  • The exam attempt you are claiming on took place within 90 days of your purchase.
  • You have not received a guarantee refund before, on this or any other Medceptor account.

The exam date we use is the date of the attempt shown on the NREMT result you send us (section 4). The date you enter at checkout only tells you, at purchase, whether that date would be covered.

4. What you send us

  • An email to admin@medceptor.com with the subject line "Guarantee claim", sent within 14 days of receiving your result.
  • A screenshot or PDF of your NREMT candidate results page showing the unsuccessful attempt, with your name and the exam date visible. The NREMT does not publish exam results, so this is the only evidence of the attempt we can accept. Before refunding, we may check the NREMT's public credential search, and we may ask you to confirm the result by other reasonable means (for example a brief video call).

5. How a claim is handled

  • We answer every claim within 14 days of receiving it.
  • If the conditions are met, we refund $119 to the original payment method. Stripe and your bank determine how long the refund takes to appear.
  • A refund ends your Lifetime access on the day it is issued. You may buy Lifetime again later; the guarantee does not apply to a purchase made after a refund.
  • One guarantee refund per person. A claim that does not meet the conditions is declined with the reason, and does not count toward it.
  • Submitting falsified evidence voids the guarantee and may result in termination of your account.

6. What the guarantee does not cover

  • The Monthly plan, the Standard and Pro subscriptions, or any purchase made through the App Store. Those are governed by the Terms of Service and, for App Store purchases, by Apple.
  • Exams other than the NREMT cognitive examination for the certification level you bought (for example a state psychomotor exam, or a different level).
  • A purchase that was refunded, charged back, or disputed.

7. Changes

We may change these terms for future purchases by publishing a new version with a new effective date. A change never applies to a purchase made before it: your purchase is governed by the version you accepted at checkout, which we record.

8. Everything else

The Terms of Service govern everything these terms do not cover, including disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
